This semester, UAM-CUSE is extremely lucky to again offer the course, Making Money and Creating Value in the 21st Century taught by visiting professor Dr. Sandeep Chatterjee. Dr. Chatterjee is a well-known inventor, author, and entrepreneur, and he owns many companies that operate around the world, including in Nicaragua.  SourceTrace Systems (www.sourcetrace.com) provides technology and software for mobile phones, Shuv Gray (www.shuvgray.com) is a legal and intellectual property consulting company, and Education Services of America (www.esacert.com) is a company that teaches people the skills necessary to get a good job!

Dr. Chatterjee earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where his doctoral dissertation was selected as one of the most important inventions in computing. His invention is showcased in a time-capsule at the Museum of Science in Boston (U.S.A.). Last year, the World Economic Forum named him a Young Global Leader for 2011 for his potential to change the world. He was also honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at WorldComp in Las Vegas, Nevada (U.S.A.). Dr. Chatterjee lives in San Francisco, California (U.S.A.).

Besides all of his accomplishments and awards, UAM-CUSE students rated Dr. Chatterjee highly in his first semester at UAM, rating him a 10 (out of 10). Some of the comments from his students are: “He is perfect, I would definitely like to take other courses with him. His class is the most practical and applicable for the real world. He makes you think realistically. It was a great experience, I would not ask him to change anything! Very useful and practical class. I learned a lot. He is such a good professor.” Nicaragua has the opportunity to learn from an outstanding educator!

The course is designed for anyone who wishes to succeed in their life, make money and create a better life for themselves. On completing the course you will be able to identify opportunities, create successful plans to leverage opportunities, and make money for yourself. The course consists of 40 hours with two hours of lecture and three hours of lab in alternating weeks. For College of University Studies in English students, the course may be applied as an elective or as an enrichment course. 

 Students may also receive job offers from Dr. Chatterjee’s companies around the world, including in Nicaragua.
